Ajahn Brahmali advises us to start by relaxing into our meditation, because he says relaxing and letting things be helps our minds to calm down so we can mindfully and easily watch the breath. Also reminding ourselves to have gratitude and metta from time to time helps us to lift up our mind and to direct it in the right way.

Ajahn Brahmali is back after the rains retreat. Ajahn Brahmali revisits the basic teachings of Buddhism such as the Four Noble Truths because he says these help us to see what Buddhism is pointing to and is all about. Ajahn talks about the problems of our existence and shares a story from the suttas to help illustrate the point clearly. Ajahn describes how the Buddhist path is the path to purify ourselves so that we see things in the right way, get insights into the Four Noble Truths and ultimately eliminate our suffering once and for all.

We are most fortunate to have Ajahn Brahmali. Armadale Mediation Group is designed to teach you about meditation. The classes generally begin with chanting the Metta Sutta, then receiving mediation instructions and meditating together, followed by asking questions and finally if time remains listening to a Dhamma talk.
