Ajahn Brahmali offers two simple pieces of mediation advice. Firstly, have patience and allow your mind to calm down. Secondly, value your meditation time. Ajahn explains that the many things we think are really important in our life will dissipate, when we carefully inspect them from a Buddha Dhamma perspective. This then helps us to let go of our thinking and allows us to find some peace in our meditation.
