Another informative and thought provoking talk from Ajahn Brahmali. The exploration of what it means to be human allays fears regarding the implementation of artificial intelligence for future generations. His comparison between the ceasing of craving in a human and and the 'unconscious' Robot may not appeal to non- Buddhists as it flies in the face of what many in the western culture strive against but provides a great illustration of how any 'artificial intelligence' depicted, usually as destructive and void of emotion, would in effect develop all the sensitivities and cravings of a human. How lucky we are to have a teacher of such skill, insight, focus and kindness at BSWA. Ajahn Brahmali inspires and assists in slaking the thirst for Dhamma by providing enough information to comfortably digest but reappears over the course of the week, month, years to inspire and provide comfort and a template for negotiating the path. Thank you! 🙏
