A key component of the practice of letting go, is to let go of all the painful memories of the past. These painful memories are only heavy when we pick them up - but often our minds do this without any encouragement at all! Ajahn Brahm gives advice on how to stop picking up the hot coal of past memories and be fully present in the here and now - and be free from expecting ourselves to be anything or anyone.
The dharma talks recorded by the Buddhist Society of Western Australia at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre in Perth, Western Australia. More resources are available at http://www.dhammaloka.org.au
