This talk, given in 2009, occurred in the week after Ajahn Brahm was expelled from the tradition of monasteries in Thailand that he ordained in for his role in ordination of bhikkhunis (fully ordained nuns). It starts with an explanation of what occurred and then Ajahn Brahm goes on to explain why and how to look forward to the future with happiness.

This recordings begins with a little bit of chanting, then an introduction to Ajahn Santutthi. Ajahn then guides a short meditation and gives a Dhamma talk.
All the way from Perth, we are honoured to present Ajahn Santutthi. Brick by humble brick, with unwavering effort to uphold the Dhamma, Ajahn builds his monastery for the benefit of the Dhamma. Today we go inside the mind of a great man, to find out how he stays equanimous amidst the turmoil of a fevered world and what Ajahn's attitude is, to staying strong in the face of the oppressive external expectations.

To understand Buddhism and to understand life, we must understand the truth of suffering in life. The Four Noble Truths are oriented around suffering, it's cause and freedom from suffering. Ajahn Brahmali uses this talk to put things into perspective and understand the problem of suffering.
